A perfect soft-boiled egg has a completely cooked white while also having a soft yolk.
Get a small pot or sauce pan. It's sides should be twice as tall as an egg is on it's side.
Put an egg in the pan.
add COLD water (from the tap) just to cover the egg.
Put a lid on the plan, and place it on your smallest burner.
Turn to highest heat. (stay close by)
When the egg begins to rattle, turn off the heat and set a timer to 2 minutes.
After the timer beeps, drain the pan and run the egg under COLD water for 5 seconds.
Remove the eggs shell carefully.
Add salt and pepper, and maybe a tiny bit of butter.
A blog that supplies recipes for my niece who is in college. Simple, mostly inexpensive and hopefully delicious food that can be prepared with minimal kitchen appliances and tools from ingredients you can find at the local store or farmers market.
